What is Ngày Hội Anh Tài?
The biggest event of the Amser year — imagined, built and run entirely by students.
Ngày Hội Anh Tài (NHAT, “Talent Festival”) is the annual event series of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School. Each season, every specialised class becomes a team with its own colours, competing across pre-events in arts, sports and volunteering.
It all comes together at the Final Night, which crowns the Most Wanted Class and the year’s Ams Ambassador.

The theme
Thirteen colours on a single pair of wings.
- Euthalia
- A genus of butterflies — wings whose colours shift with every angle.
- Điệp Sắc
- “Điệp” means butterfly, “sắc” means colour: the colours of a butterfly’s wings.
The theme celebrates the brilliant colours of the butterfly and its hard journey out of the cocoon to earn its most perfect wings — for every Amser, the moment of breaking through their own limits. NHAT’21 broke out of its own cocoon too: more than a year of Covid-19 postponements before it finally took flight.

The season’s opening shot: the organisers sent every class a gift in its own colours, and delicate paper butterflies filled the AB hall.

Interaction Days
21–27.06.2021
During lockdown, five days of online challenges — from “Your Ams’ Portulan” to “Carve The Acroliths” — kept all 13 classes together: “stay at home but not stay alone”. Literature came out on top.

Art Portfolio Round
For the first time, Ambassador candidates presented their talent and personality through an Art Portfolio. The top 10 advanced to the Final Night.

At Ams Arena, 13 classes battled in 3 groups — JenZ Tower, Rollin’ Ballin’ and more — then the Hustle Puzzle play-off and a Red Light, Green Light semi-final. Maths won the NHATiles final on 6 May.

Volunteer Day

After a donation drive across all 13 classes, the organisers and the Top 10 Ambassadors brought books to children at Centre No. 2 in Ba Vì, building a bookshelf and painting a mural together.

The night every colour came alive.
On 25 May 2022, on the Ams schoolyard, the 13 classes closed NHAT’21 with 13 talent performances and 13 class camps, while the Top 10 Ambassadors competed in traditional dress, evening wear and a Q&A. The band Chillies and singer Tiên Tiên had the whole yard singing along.

Behind every performance are hundreds of tasks nobody sees. The Logistics Committee handled everything from budgets, vendors and equipment to every backstage transition.

Resource Planning & Management
Budgeted, sourced vendors, and managed physical resources and technical equipment for a series of pre-events and the large-scale Finale Night (thousands of attendees).

Procurement & Inventory Control
Coordinated material transportation, optimized procurement budgets, and executed strict inventory management before, during, and after the event to prevent asset loss.

Finale Night Backstage Operations
Collaborated cross-functionally to direct the on-site logistics team, managing the flow of performers and props to ensure seamless run-of-show transitions.
- 04
Real-time Troubleshooting
Acted as the primary rapid-response contact, resolving on-site technical issues and logistical emergencies to maintain continuous event flow.
